As you may know, I offer “social media support” to local non-profits, small business and individuals – technically, I’m a consultant, but I consider myself more of a hand-holder/tutor. I’ve done everything from teach someone how to use Twitter to develop social media strategies. So, hey, give me a call if you need someone to talk you through setting up a Facebook page.
Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to present at PodCamp Pittsburgh on the topic of a local LGBTQ social media collaborative. I represent the GLCC in this collaborative – we are the coordinating organization. The presentation is raw footage and long – we went to at least 70 minutes, but this stops at 59 minutes – in the middle of an awkward question.
It was a great opportunity to talk about the universality of our efforts and some of the unique challenges the LGBTQ community faces. I’m not sure it will be engaging enough to invest 59 minutes, but you might like to delve in a bit.
