One of the truly bright spots from the Grammy’s and the debate around Macklemore is the emergence of queer musician Mary Lambert. We had a chance to review the EP and it is terrific. You may have heard “She Keeps Me Warm” which is a lovely love song reminiscent of Alicia Keys (to me) and. Lambert’s voice is rich and warm and strong and her spoken word performanc is fierce. Lambert is also compared to Adele and Bon Iver. When I read more about her personal history, I realized that she sounds like the comforting voice in my head that helps me in tough moments. This is an EP you should own.
