Art Gallery To Host Health Care Happy Hours for Local Artists

This is an interesting outcome from #ArtisticVisionPgh – Most Wanted Fine Art (MWFA) gallery and the Pennsylvania Health Access Network (PHAN) have teamed up to sponsor a series of happy hours for artists to learn more about the Affordable Care Act and other health insurance opportunities. The first happy hour is set for Thursday, December 11 from 5-9 PM at Most Wanted Fine Art in Garfield.

MWFA owner and curator of the #ArtisticVisionPgh project Nina Sauer shared:

We are excited to continue the work we started with #artisticvisionpgh where we partnered with Penn Avenue Eyewear to get artists in glasses and raise money for non profits helping artists. We invite the artists who participated in that show as well as others in the community to join us to learn about your health care options! Medicaid expansion is now available in PA and you may have options not previously available. Someone will be on hand to answer all your questions and walk you through step by step!

Nina recently joined me and Erin Ninehouser from PHAN for a panel discussion about the project during the 2014 Podcamp Pittsburgh. It is pretty cool to see such a creative, practical outcome from a blogging project.

Anyone is welcome to attend this event to find out about health insurance options. There is no cost and MWFA will have free craft beer from Rock Bottom Brewery for anyone 21+ with ID (Hence the Happy Hour!)

**Full disclosure – I am a 2015 Artist in Residence with Most Wanted Fine Art. But I still think this is a cool opportunity 🙂
