Pittsburgh Lesbian Correspondents is pleased to join other community based organizations in an effort to raise funds to send 5,000 Pittsburgh area school students to see the critically acclaimed movie “Selma.” Please read below and make a donation if possible.
Dear friends,
A coalition of civil rights and community groups are working with Paramount Pictures and the local Pittsburgh community to send 5,000 students and underprivileged youths from the Pittsburgh area to see “Selma” the movie for free.
We are looking for community, business, schools and faith based partners to support the fund raising effort.
We will be raising funds for the first 2 weeks of February (Black History Month) in 2015 and viewing the movie during the last 2 weeks of the month.
A donation of $100.00 would be great! But a donations as small as $10.00 is acceptable and will sponsor one student. Could you please help us reach our goal of $50,000 with your support?
