Since 2008, Women of Color HERStory Month® has recognized the exceptional social, economic, political, spiritual and cultural contributions of women of color, creates a forum for women of color to participate in activism, civic engagement and leadership development while also educating the region about Human Rights and Reproductive Justice for all people.
This month long event February 15-March 15 bridges Black History Month and Women’s History Month, reminding us that the space where the two historical months intersect is not so neatly severed between February 28 and March 1 – there are vibrant groups of women of color who occupy that overlapping space and have laid claim to it through a series of events celebrating, honoring and acknowledging the unique experiences of their multi-faceted identities.
Please take advantage of the various opportunities to participate as a woman of color or an ally.

Yo Soy Latina centers on three Latina characters whose dialogue offers and honest view of the challenges and struggles that they face. This soul-searching journey provides the strength they need to express themselves – and their culture – in a positive light. The play portrays the varying and intersectional experiences faced by all women of color.
