I had originally set a goal of raising $1,000 for #AMPLIFY during Pride month by sharing this link every day on my own social media channels and basically badgering people into helping us fund the project.
Then I learned that the Peoples Pride March had no budget and no fundraiser. So I launched a crowdfund for them. What good is AMPLIFY is we don’t invest in trans women of color especially during Pride?
Still, we do need money to keep this project going. Our webhosting fees are due this month as are several domain registrations. We have software to update and will need a new laptop soon (I’ve pounded this one to death) We have trips to make to the Shenango Valley and Elk County and summer PFLAG picnics and that means mileage and the occasional motel and sponsorships/donations. We really need to $3000 to get through the summer, but I know we’ll have to look for corporate donations to raise that.
If you can include us in your Pride donations, that would be terrific. But right now, we need to make sure the Peoples Pride March 2K17 is funded. So please consider a donation in any amount.
