On September 20, our newest contributor visited a new offering ffrom the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust – Broadway Bingo. E! The Dragnificent who happens to be studying musical theater has an inside glimpse of this new series.
Disclosure: we were provided with a pair of tickets to this event. E! also won a pair of socks, but that was due to her musical theater dance skills.
What an amazing night of music, laughter, and people who love theater and Broadway as much as I do myself! The two talented drag queens from Pittsburgh, Amneeja and Dixie Surewood, put on a wonderfully comedic show for fans of Broadway to enjoy while playing a fun game of bingo but of classic Broadway songs! It would even be entertaining to those who aren’t as familiar to Broadway as others. My favorite part(s) where when we all knew the Broadway hits and sang them in unison, as musical theater nerds would do. I can’t wait for what Dixie Surewood and Amneeja have store in the next broadway bingo!

Broadway Musical Bingo is simple – players are given bingo cards where the traditional bingo numbers have been replaced with song titles from popular Broadway musicals. Listen to 10 second clips of music and mark off your cards. Featuring special live performances, food and drink, and the chance to win!
