New #ThingsToDo: a List from Esai, Age 14

Total Lists Submitted: 5

Total Amount Raised for Food Pantry: $50.00

This is our new project #ThingsToDo where we invite youth to create and share a list of things to occupy time and cope with boredom. You’ll fine the details at this link. Your young people are welcome to participate. Here’s the cool thing – in addition to creating a central hub of suggestions for all young people, we have donors who have pledged $10 per list for the Northside Community Food Pantry. So each list helps other kids AND helps neighbors counting on the food pantry.

If you or your kids find these lists helpful or useful, please leave a comment.

Name and Age: Esai, age 14

Please list 10 ways kids and youth can keep themselves busy and avoid boredom.

Mix and match your wardrobe pieces, and see what can go together.

Write songs or poems about what’s going on or about anything you want! It’s even more fun doing it with a family member or friend!

Come up with chores, like laundry, doing the dishes, cleaning your room, of anything like it! You can even whistle or sing while you do it to make it even more fun!

Make up fun dances: pick your favorite song and make up moves that correspond with the lyrics or not! It will definitely get you moving!

Find a nook in your room to decorate and make it like a safe and magical cave. If there is no nook then decorate your room!

Try out drag! Become your inner beautiful creature.

Bake something special like a cake or cookies!

Make fun jewelry

Figure out a new way to style your hair.

Paint your nails a fun and or crazy color!

Thank you, Esai!
