Total Lists Submitted: 9
Total Amount Raised for Food Pantry: $90.00 (out of $1,000 possible)
This is our new project #ThingsToDo where we invite youth to create and share a list of things to occupy time and cope with boredom. You’ll fine the details at this link. Your young people are welcome to participate. Here’s the cool thing – in addition to creating a central hub of suggestions for all young people, we have donors who have pledged $10 per list for the Northside Community Food Pantry. So each list helps other kids AND helps neighbors counting on the food pantry.
If you or your kids find these lists helpful or useful, please leave a comment. This is a great activity for kids to help during the pandemic.
I have a couple of words of explanation in case it’s useful:3. Make a library — We miss the Carnegie Library, so she spent quite some time turning her bedroom into a lending library. She made labels for all of her books and grouped them by type. Now she’s lending them to the rest of the family. Her little brother is her best customer!5. Write a book — She enjoys making up stories, writing them down, and drawing pictures to go along with.7. This is “watch a movie”10. This is “Take a laundry basket and pretend it is a row boat.” This one turns out to be pretty hard work, at least if you want it to move!
