It’s been an especially brutal few days in an already harsh year. Three Black trans women were murdered in a 72 hour span.

Tiara Banks, 24, was shot multiple times while sitting in her car in a Chicago neighborhood. There’s very little detail available about Tiara’s life – no social media mentions, etc.

Tiffany Thomas, 38, was shot to death with multiple gunshots in a carwash in Dallas. Tiffany was identified as a trans woman in initial reporting, but her family squashed that. So Tiffany will be buried under her dead name. Also, a predator is on the loose in Dallas but trans women were not immediately aware of that threat because of the inaccuracies.

Natalia Smut Lopez, 24, was killed by a man she was dating.

Tiara Banks was shot to death on April 21 in Chicago while sitting in her car.
