On Day 592 of the Pandemic, I Turn 51 Years Old

First, let me thank the lovely people who have sent good wishes and gifts for the cats. It makes my heart swell. I have two winter cat shelters to be assembled and some funds chipping in to buy a sturdy feeding station for the colony. Another friend sent batteries that are literally keeping the lights on – we go through them pretty quickly in the trail cams and flashlights.

Turning 51 will be rather mundane. We scheduled our flu shots at 10 AM and we have to take the #DavisGirls kittens for for a round of fluids and medications for their seemingly intractable GI parasite. And I have to use my birthday only Starbucks reward. Then we’ll wrap up the evening watching my favorite movie When Harry Met Sally.

We were going to go to a fall foliage drive (I can’t bring myself to use peeping yet) and light a fire in the pit, but the rain said “no, no, no” to those plans.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to my birthday wish – cat stuff. Thanks to your generosity we can help cover the intense veterinary expenses of the #DavisGirls kittens who are still pretty sick. We can also purchase at least one Feralvilla feeding station – they are perfect for this and cost about $120 each with shipping.
