Santa Claws Magic for Captain Roy

For the holidays, we are asking you to adopt a community cat caretaker to thank them for their year round work.

Captain Roy is a 96-year-old retired tugboat captain.

Roy is a 94 year old retired tug boat captain. He is currently living on social security and has 2 inside cats, though he occasionally helps feed the neighbors cats when the neighbor goes into rehab, and some alley cats. Roy took in his two inside cats from a neighboring abandoned house when a neighbor went into jail and never came home. Roy is on Meals on Wheels and when he doesn’t have enough cat food he feeds his donated meals to his cats. He feeds Purina Naturals dry food.”

He is currently living on social security and has 2 inside cats, though he occasionally helps feed the neighbors cats when the neighbor goes into rehab, and some alley cats. Roy took in his two inside cats from a neighboring abandoned house when a neighbor went into jail and never came home. Roy is on Meals on Wheels and when he doesn’t have enough cat food, he feeds his donated meals to his cats.

Roy took in two homeless cats and feeds an unknown number of homeless cats near his home. Roy played a key role in rescuing sick kittens and mama recently on his street. He’s observant and saw the mama going into an abandoned house where transitory neighbors stay. Roy called his rescue contact and kept a close eye on the house. The rescuers were able to safely extricate six kittens and mama from the building, getting them into foster homes with appropriate medical attention. It took hours to find them, but Roy’s keen eye meant no kitten was left behind.

We’d like to celebrate his efforts to help community cats by sending some Santa Claws magic their way.
