Honored by Pittsburgh Equality Center

The Pittsburgh Equality Center gave me a great honor by focusing on my work in their newsletter as a Community Leader.

In this month’s newsletter, we will explore the history of Lesbian Visibility Day, and I am thrilled to note that we will be spotlighting a special member of the Pittsburgh LGBTQIA+ community – the inspiring and award-winning lesbian blogger, Sue Kerr. Sue’s dedication to sharing the stories of our local LGBTQIA+ community is invaluable, and her work in creating a more inclusive and understanding society is commendable.

Board Chair, Pittsburgh Equality Center

The Pgh Equality Center is very dear to me. It was where I sought comfort, companionship, and support after I came out. It is where I met my wife, Laura. I was on the board in the early 2000’s and the technology/social media liaison in the mid 2010s. I republished this piece on the History of the (then) GLCC … because the history of that organization is so important.

Every month, a volunteer delivers 10 #ProtectTransKids yard signs to the Pgh Equality Center’s major fundraiser, OUTrageous Bingo.

I’ll just leave this here. And be grateful.
