Help Send 100 #ProtectTransKids Yard Signs to the Annual Pittsburgh Transgender Picnic in August

August 12, 2023 is the annual Pittsburgh Transgender Picnic (T-Nic) in North Park. This annual gathering brings together trans folx and allies to enjoy a cookout, potluck, some games, and spending time together.

This year, the event honors the memory of Candis, one of the organizers of the first t nics.

We’d like to offer all attendees a #ProtectTransKids yard sign along with stickers and pens. We are planning to order 100 for this event alone. There are more than 100 RSVP’s to date. Some folx might take two, others might just take stickers. It will even out.

With their permission, we set up this crowdfund to invite the community to support this effort.

Our price for 100 signs is $1160 through our print partners CW Press. We’ve raised $150 so far and need about an

We will also be taking an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages to distribute free of charge to attendees – gatorade, pop, kombucha, etc.

This is a lovely way to support the trans community and honor all the “trans kids” of every age who deserve to feel safe and validated in their communities. We offered a sponsorship and they asked us to bring drinks. So that’s what we’ll do.

This is an important way to show up for our trans neighbors in Pittsburgh

Enjoy some photos from previous picnics.
