Countdown to the #BackYardSale: We Need Towels, Sheets, and Blankets

donations for homeless cats

We are counting down to Saturday, September 7 when we unveil the #BackYardSale in my backyard. This is a benefit for the #PghCatFolx projects.

Today, we are asking for linens: towels, sheets, and blankets. That sort of thing. Any style, any size. Washcloths are great.

These items swaddle kittens into ‘purritos’ to get meds and nail trims. They line traps and carriers. They cover carriers filled with frightened cats ripped away from their familiar spaces to be spayed or neutered. The covers comfort them. These items wipe up messes, dry soft skin after baths, and provide snugly beds.

Your old towels from your old apartment, the blankets you don’t really like, and the sheets you keep for sentimental reasons, not because they fit the bed – they can all help. How many extra tea/kitchen towels do you have? Hand towels? Rally towels? Sheets unopened because they are cute but not comfortable? Blankets you never use?

Let’s get those items out into the community, helping our neighbors. That’s why we do this.
