The family of Dakota James have been crisscrossing the streets of Downtown Pittsburgh every day, all day in hopes of finding someone who has a clue to their son’s disappearance. 23-year-old Dakota, a Northside resident and Duquesne University grad students, has been missing since January. Dakota also happens to be a member of the LGBTQ community, identifying as a gay man.
Today, the family hosted a press conference to reiterate their commitment to keep searching and the creation of a $10,000 reward fund.
Dakota’s father, Jeff James, made a tearful plea for someone to come forward with information.
“We’re walked every street in this town, we need that person who knows what we don’t know to come forward to help us find my son,” said Jeff James.
As they continue searching, the family has set up a tip line through Our Missing Home. The number is (810) 294-4858. Callers should reference Law Enforcement Case #17-17022. Pittsburgh Police is handling the investigation. The Public is also encouraged to call the Missing Persons Unit at (412) 323-7141.
You can follow the investigation via the Facebook page for Dakota James.
