The #ManchesterCatTrap Offers Free TNVR and a Pet Food Distribution to Pittsburgh’s Northside

There are a lot of cats without homes in Manchester and nearby neighborhoods. I’ve trapped 12 this year alone and I’m definitely a novice. So wit the advice of experienced trappers, I proposed a “mass trapping” where colony caretakers and volunteer trappers get the kitties and we take them en masse to the Fix’n Wag’n at their McKnight Road location near the Kitty Queen Cat Lounge.

While TNRV of up to 50 cats will be a huge help for local residents and neighbors, I thought it was important to do more. So we are launching the Dr. John Ruffing Pet Food Distribution Projects to provide pet food to local neighbors. Our partner will be No Dog Left Behind. Pet food will be delivered by volunteers to minimize social contact.

Each TNVR will cost $70 so we need to raise $3500 to cover 50 cats.

If we don’t trap 50 cats? We will notify the neighborhood rescues in other communities so those slots do not go unused.

If we still don’t trap 50 cats? We will use the funds going forward with Fix’n Wag’n to cover TNVR procedures for cats from Manchester.

If we raise more than $3500, we will be able to cover some administrative costs (supplies, nametags, etc) as well as support the pet food drive.
