Random TV Thoughts

Finished Derry Girls last night. Excellent series finale. I didn’t quite get the Sister Michael comment about the Bishop. But overall it was lovely. Destined to be a classic.

Also watched Screw from BBC last week starring Jamie-Lee O’Donnell from the above show. It was hard to separate her from the character of Michelle at first until I realized Rose could easily be Michelle 5 or 6 years down the road. It’s labeled as a comedy, but it’s heavy on the drama.

Started Enola Holmes 2 tonight. Realize I’ve forgotten quite a lot about the first movie. Love Millie Bobby Brown. This series is a great pivot from Stranger Things.

Watched Karen Pirie on the BBC last week. Scottish “tartan noir” mystery based on Val McDermid books. Here’s hoping they renew.

I need some new things to watch. My list is filled with heavy, dark shows and 70’s sitcoms. Neither is working for me.

I am now reading the Val McDermid series.
