Reasons to Keep Saving This Blog (and the Blogger)

Next week, my journey will reach the six months mark. Six months since I was kicked out of my home under the pretext of a 303 involuntary civil commitment. Six months since my friends picked me up on from an intersection outside Western Psychiatric Hospital when I was released four hours later. Six months since the locks to my home of 18+ years were changed while I was being evaluated. And six months since I had to consider selling this blog to pay for my lawyers to right these wrongs.

Then, my friends took me to their home in Brentwood, made sure I was safe, and have stood with me every step of the way to resist. My sole source of income is my Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) of $1200/month. I actually rely on that to pay the blog bills, too.

And yet I’m still blogging. I’ve created 30 memorials for trans neighbors and more. I can’t just quit.

Friends set up a GoFundMe to help me with legal bills. We need another $9000.

A Cat Supply Drive

PLC is raising funds for winter needs at the Fort Faulsey Community Cat Colony. We need to raise another $175 to make our goal.

We also have an online wishlist if you’d like to send food or other supplies. All excess will be shared with other feeders on the Northside.
