Now, Count Down to the #BackYardSale by Prepping the Yard, Renting Uhaul Truck. Plus, We Need Towels.

The clock is still ticking for the (back)YardSale on Sat Sept 7, 2024 in Manchester.  Seven days to go.

We started prepping the backyard today. Fair warning. It is a backyard carved from collapsed row houses so uneven terrain.

We also decided to rent a Uhaul truck to store donations. Your generosity overfloweth. Yesterday we had a huge donation before a t storm. Thankfully we had tarps. So mobile storage solution, activate.

Bring on the stuff. We really need:

  • Towels
  • Sheets/pillowcases
  • Blankets
  • Pet stuff – bowls, collars, brushes, toys
  • Bowls – metal, ceramic, plastic human grade, take out containers

These items will go directly to rescues. We have nine interested, so far. We invited more. So please dig deep for pet stuff.  We have a wishlist if you prefer:

If anyone has an “in” to get towels from a hotel or sports team or casino, that would be a big win.

Groups that have expressed interest in receiving donations

  1. Urban Tails
  2. Cat Eyes Revolutionn
  3. Private Rescue #1
  4. Trash Cat Rescue
  5. Kitty Queen
  6. Scrap the Trap
  7. Katie-Cat Rescue
  8. Merlin’s Safe Haven
  9. Rescue and Relax
  10. 4 Walls Foster

If I missed your group or you want to add (or remove) your group, please reach out.

Today we prepped the yard. Found some fun stuff in the shed. Tomorrow is Uhaul Day. Tuesday we clean. A flyering team hits the streets.

Still could use some portable tables.

Drop-off

  • 1213 W North Ave 15233 (steps)
  • 1440 Faulsey Way 15233 (no steps, backyard

Look for the bins.

Thank you for your generosity.
