Pet Food Pantry Opens on Northside for Cat Colony Caretakers

The Dr. John P. Ruffing VMD Pet Food Pantry distributes first round of food this week. With your help, we’ll be able to give some food to each participant every month.

In addition to donations of pet food, we need the following gently or partially used items

  • labels to mark the food by recipient. Mailing labels, name tags, anything like that will work. If you have some leftover from a project, we can put them to use.
  • cat food, wet & dry. We especially need pate with gravy. Also smaller bags of dry food are easier to divvy up. Treats also welcome.
  • paper plates and bowls for colonies hygiene. Birthday party leftovers? Anything like that.

Donations can be dropped at

1440 Faulsey Way 15233 (backyard address) Look for yellow sign and bin.

We are pleased that 16 feeders/caretakers have signed up. Taking care of community cats is a shared responsibility. At least it should be.

Sign up here if you are a caretaker on the Northside or an adjacent community.
