My Thoughts on LGBT Outreach

The folks at OutreachU, a local business supporting non-profits with tools for advocacy and outreach efforts, asked me to talk with them about the outreach successes in the LGBTQ community. Here’s my first video.

To keep it “real” we were able to record the video in one of the offices at the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Pittsburgh, one organization with whom I work. We had to keep the door open because of the intense heat so you can hear the volunteers & interns quietly creeping past on occasion. They were so terrific to help us out like this.

OutreachU has some really interesting approaches to working with non-profit communities – we need to learn better business principles to engage and support our target audiences ie, the people that we serve, our volunteers, our donors, and the larger community.
