Fluency

If you could wake up tomorrow and be fluent in any language you don’t currently speak, which would it be? Why? What’s the first thing you do with your new linguistic skills?

It is a tie between Spanish and American Sign Language.

Spanish because it is the fastest growing language in the United States and I want to be able to communicate with my neighbors.

American Sign Language because I started to learn it and found it to be beautiful and poetic. It resonated with me, but I wasn’t able to continue the classes.

First thing I would do? I would volunteer to translate.
