UPDATE – in 36 hours, we’ve reached 41% of our goal ($500). Please help us cross the finish line so the kids hear the good news on Monday.
Jefferson Recreation Center is a North Side based community recreation center serving youth of all ages. They are hoping to take 13-15 young members (ages 8-18) on a snowtubing trip to either Boyce Park or Wildwood Highlands.
The budget is limited for these types of activities. This trip will cost $13/child plus transportation, snacks and making sure all of the kids have appropriate hats, gloves and winter gear to have a fun & safe trip.
North Side Common Ministries is accepting donations for this effort. You can donate online via Crowdrise using a credit card (this goes through Network for Good.)
Checks can be made payable to “Northside Common Ministries” and mailed to:

After working on the very successful Emergency Toy Drive during the holidays, I couldn’t help but be struck by this immediate need – kids deserve to experience FUN and benefit from public spaces like the County Parks. So now I’m channeling the rest of my brain power to try to keep the help going!
