I am a transgender woman, lesbian, and Army retiree that lives in Pittsburgh. During my service I was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal Twice, the Army Commendation Medal Four times, and the Army Achievement Medal eight times. I was the Distinguished Honor Graduate at both my Basic and Advanced Noncommissioned Officer courses. I retired as a Sergeant First Class. I will not rest until the U.S. military allows transgender persons to serve.
