How I Have Replaced the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in My Daily News Sources

I really miss this paper, but not in its current unreliable format written by people who have no regard for their (former) coworkers and accept bribery salaries to sell everyone out. That’s not journalism. It is greed and absolutely unreliable as a source of fairness or balance. Here are the sources I use each day […]

A culturally competent leader is informed to understand the underlying causes of behavior and driven to  provide the individual with the resources and opportunity to improve and be a better version of themselves. Little Pink Milestones for You and Me

Today, the promotional folx for John Mellencamp invited me to review his upcoming concert series at The Benedum in late May. Wow. That’s a big step up for us in terms of fame. I know that sounds weird, but I’m still not recovered from the Rick Springsteen rejection of our Q&A (pre-pandemic) as a slap […]

Mental Health Check-In

Today, my therapist and I did a symptom review where we ‘sorted’ my current and very recent symptoms into three categories: Anxiety, Depression, and Hypomania. Then we looked at the intersection of these symptoms, this sorting, with my trauma symptoms. I was struggling to distinguish between Anxiety and Hypomania, so she literally created a divide […]

Q&A with Matt Dugan, Candidate for Allegheny County District Attorney

Matt Dugan

It’s important for the justice system to meet people where they are and recognize there are different  concerns/issues/fears for different communities. That’s not something that’s taught in law school, but something I’ve learned over time. Our next post of our 2023 primary election season series ‘Political Q&A’ with progressive candidates throughout Pennsylvania. Candidates can be […]
